About Me

I created this blog because like anyone who visits my site they have a
love/hate relationship with this fickle game. Whether you get out on
the links once, twice a week, you golf in a league, or perhaps you are a
weekend warrior, whatever category you may fall under the ultimate goal is to make pars,
and even birdies. Every time I step onto the course that is my goal, and
anyone who loves this game, no matter how frustrating it may get is
always chasing that elusive birdie. Hopefully through my blog we can
achieve that goal, together. After all no matter how bad your round is going on
any particular day, it’s always that one perfect drive, long iron, wedge
shot, or that twenty foot putt that lures you back onto the links.

My Story

I’m an avid golfer who has been knocking that darn little white ball
around for more than 30 years. Like 99.9% of golfers out there I love
the game, but at times become very frustrated with my game. We all get
frustrated to the point where you swear you are going to give up the
sport. I will be shooting good than all of a sudden my game goes south
and that becomes very frustrating not only to me but millions of golfers
out there. Then it never fails as you approach the last couple of holes
it’s as if the light goes back on and you par or better yet you birdie
the 17th or 18th hole, it’s then you remember why you love this game
that frustrates you so much. That’s what makes us all
come back the following weekend.

I have a brother-in-law who used to laugh at me hitting and chasing a
little white ball from tee to the hole. I tried to get him out on the
links and told him he would really enjoy the game if he would just give
it a chance. For years, he refused than one time he asked me if I had
any old golf clubs that he could use. I gave him an old set of mine and
he started hitting shag balls off his beach for quite a period. Well
needless to say he started watching the golf channel, reading golf books
on how to improve one’s game, and low and behold everything he does now
revolve around golf. He probably golfs more than I do right now. It is an addictive and challenging game.

WHY YOU WANT TO HELP PEOPLE

I want to help golfers out there by sharing a blog that will help all
levels, from the beginner to the well seasoned veteran out there.
There are golfers out there that can share their own personal
experiences, as well as the frustrated golfer who is looking for answers
to questions about their golf game. Together I believe we can
accomplish those goals.

THE GOAL OF YOUR SITE

The goal of this site is for all of us to get better at the game that
we all love. Let’s face it if we did not love the game we wouldn’t go
out every week, or weekend and frustrate ourselves. Whether you prefer shooting 9 or 18 holes, it is a
beautiful four hours or so romp on the golf course, whether you prefer
walking or riding, I prefer riding in a cart, sit back light up a cigar and
enjoy the quiet time, if that’s what you prefer, or the camaraderie of
friends, or enjoying the one-on-one time you get to spend with your
children, or your father, or even your significant other. Whatever your
preference is for hitting the links, we all want to improve our game.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to .
